Update on recent Fidelity deposits

The following message was sent on Monday, June 1, 2026, to employees who participate in the ORP, Ï㽶ÊÓƵPension Plan, or voluntary 403(b) with Fidelity. There are no action items at this time for any employees and there is no affect on any other retirement vendor.
Ï㽶ÊÓƵHR was recently informed that our recent Fidelity deposit for the pay period covering April 19 - May 2 (R10) was returned to the University and not properly deposited into the employee accounts. This affected employee and employer contributions to the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP), Ï㽶ÊÓƵPension Plan, and voluntary 403(b).
After notification, we immediately identified the error with Fidelity. We have updated communication channels and operational procedures between Ï㽶ÊÓƵand Fidelity to prevent this issue from occurring again in the future. The R10 contributions to Fidelity were resubmitted as of 5/28/26, and employees should see the funds in their account as of 6/2/26.
There is nothing that you need to do at this time. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at ua-benefits@alaska.edu if you have any additional questions or concerns.
