Notice: Delayed access to employee timesheets due to BSS9 transition

In support of the University’s ongoing transition to Banner Self Service 9 (BSS9), employees will have delayed access to their R21, R22, and R23 timesheets. Beginning with R21, the automated overtime process will become available. Please review the schedule below. This new functionality will eliminate the need for employees to manually calculate their overtime hours on their timesheets, reducing errors and simplifying time entry. Timesheet Release Schedule
- To support this transition, R21, R22, and R23 timesheets will have delayed release dates:
- R21 will be accessible on September 28th, 2025
- R22 will be accessible on October 12th, 2025
- R23 will be accessible on October 26th, 2025
Please note, hourly employees will need to keep track of their hours and projects outside of until timesheets are available.
Why are we making this change?
- The move to automated overtime is a necessary step in our transition to BSS9 which will no longer allow for the custom manual overtime process currently used on timesheets.
- The current overtime process requires employees to track when they surpass 40 hours in a work week, use a separate earnings code to report overtime, and manually calculate their own overtime hours. This process has led to frequent miscalculations and underreporting of overtime.
- Automated overtime will eliminate the manual entry of overtime hours in timesheets, alleviating many, if not all, issues with overtime hours and pay calculations by removing the burden on the employee.
