Hunting on University of Alaska Land

Hunting is authorized on University of Alaska land under the following restrictions and requirements:

  • Hunting is allowed for personal use only and must comply with all applicable state, federal, local, and municipal laws and regulations.
  • Hunting is PROHIBITED on educationally designated land, land with active agreements, active land sales, and platted subdivisions.
  • Trapping is NOT allowed on University land.
  • Specific areas may be restricted or removed for hunting activities at any time.
  • Individuals are responsible for verifying whether a specific area is open for hunting; please see map below.
  • Prior to hunting on University land, you are required to agree to the located on the interactive map.
